Jonas Rathsaman -

Jonas will bring you back to the classic club flow. You'll be feeling good walking into this set. His music is fun and meant to make you move. This will also be midday in set time-terms, the perfect time to get ready for the epicness to follow. Catch Jonas in the Catskill Cave.

Moon Boots -

Keep on dancing in the Catskill Cave as you are lifted into the cosmos with Moon Boots. His bio actually refers to him being a pair of astronaut boots. That alone would have me checking him out. The music is smooth and flowing. Might play a nice introduction into Tipper...

Paper Diamond -

Alex B. is a Colorado based producer, but people have been dancing to him as Paper Diamond. Experience the raw energy that comes to a Paper Diamond set. Shivers will be sent up your spine as your arms and legs get turnt up. People will be going nuts. It will be spectacular. He'll be closing out the festival in the Circus Tent Sunday night. Finally, A Festival Website that Does It Right

Finding anything on the internet takes patience. Knowing where to search, what to search and how to search can sometimes be a little much. Perhaps that's why so many people have taken to believe every single meme they see posted on Facebook. Well, now there is one website that exists to give you what you want, and that's it.

Music Festival Nation is here to tell you what, when, where, how and why for music festivals all over, with a community aspect. To use the site, simply type the festival you're looking for in the search bar in the top and chances are it'll pop up. You can also search through festivals by searching alphabetically, by location, or by date. Once you find a festival, there are links to get to their official websites and social media connections. Many have photos attached, the full lineup, and every festival has it's own ride share page.

Ride Share for Hudson Music Project

People want to come to festivals from all over the country, and with this it could be possible for people to connect and see where the other is. Right here there's people in Michigan, Florida, New York, and New Jersey looking for and giving rides to the Hudson Music Project. It's super simple and to the point, it's a very useful tool.

This is everything you would need to find a festival to go to, buy tickets and get there. The community aspect is enormous, and Music Festival Nation makes it easy to do. The guys behind it (Jared and Blaine) have been around for a few years, and recently they have been updating their look and outreach. I would highly suggest checking it out, and seeing if there's been any ride share info posted up. I found a ride last minute for The Hudson Music Project, but I was about to grab one from New Jersey originally from someone offering a ride on Music Festival Nation. Right off the bat the site helped me out.

Remember, if the festival you're looking for isn't there, take a moment to add it in with some info. Usually the festival's Facebook page will have most of it. You can also just comment on how excited you are to be going to a festival already listed! Either way, it is important to know that this site is online and has so much information and connectivity to it.

Hudson Music Project - Listening to Saturday

Just earlier Hudson Music Project released the set times for each day of the festival. After seeing how the days will be panning out, I'm excited to say this festival will be filled with tons of awesome music and good times.

Here's what Saturday looks like:

As you can see there's four stages and sometimes they all overlap. This can complicate things when you wanted to see a set in full, but ride the rails and the next stage over which could be a ten minute walk and a few thousand people to get through once you make it there. So you should plan ahead, create a small schedule and don't be afraid to leave it behind if you so please... there will be awesomeness everywhere, and sometimes it will find you.

Bit Funk -

When Bit Funk hits the stage, get ready for some late afternoon delightful soul. You will be feeling satisfied throughout. The is also a great place to glovers to be.. assuming the Catskill Cave stage is indoors. Set time's at 4:30pm.

Kap Slap -

Coming at you in the Circus Tent just as the sun slowly disappears, Kap Slap will bring on that big progressive house sound to your earholes. I imagine the Circus Tent to be the equivalent to the dance tents at previous festivals, and I can't wait to see the visuals happening here. Kap Slap will hit the stage at 7:30, and will directly be followed by....

Felix Cartal -

One big sound after the next. The buildups and energy in the Circus Tent will be HYPE through Felix Cartal's set. It'll be two epic hours at the festival, be sure to catch in on some of this action while you are wandering the music and grounds.

Gold Panda -

Late nights can start getting a little different at a festival. Music that is put together differently than a build and a drop. Hudson Project has graced us with an opportunity to experience Gold Panda in all his glory. This is a set I might pull the art supplies out for.

Well, whatever set you check out I'm sure they will be awesome. Remember though, explorers explore.

Hudson Music Project Daily Time Slots Announced!

The moment I've personally been waiting for has finally come! With the first day opening up in just over a week,The Hudson Music Project will be giving us such an amazing lineup of music. How to make sure you catch everyone you want to can be tricky sometimes. Especially when you get pulled into something else.

Here's your daily set times to help you know where to go:

I already know some set's I'll be at, and the Catskill Cave in looking pretty inviting. Those sunset set times are looking pretty good too, not to mention that familiar block out all other music while Bassnectar hits the stage. We've seen this before, and it's pretty epic to have almost the entire camp raging out to Lorin. There's a certain vibe he brings that's undeniable.

Interview with Supersillyus

A couple months back I went to hang out with Rob Uslan, better known as Supersillyus. He is a multi-talented artist, working on his solo music as well as the popular duo of himself and Space Jesus to make up Schlang. He's been living in NY now, so I headed down to Brooklyn and sat down with the man. The following is a little of what transpired.

There was really no formalities here. Just hanging out that afternoon, talking about random stuff and streams of thought. Supersillyus has some pretty interesting things to talk about when it comes to the state of the scene, writing music, gentrification, and even a few thoughts on psychedelics. He even shared his most recent work in progress at the time.

Rob's an awesome guy, it was a lot of fun chilling with him. He won't be performing too much during the summer time as he's working on multiple records, but be sure to catch him live and really experience Supersillyus in all of his glory, as well as when he performs with Schlang.

Catch him this Saturday (June 21) for a live show and a debut of his newest song. Catch him playing with some legendary artists like Frankie Bones and Afrika Bambaataa at Summer Solstice [click the link for info/tickets]. We'll also be seeing him perform on the festival track this summer at Luna Light, FarmFest, and Wild Woods Music and Arts Festival.

Hudson Music Project - Listening to Friday

July will hold some amazing talent at the Hudson Music Project. Saugerties, NY, is going to be moving to the beats of all different kinds of artists. On the festival's main page, you can actually find individual pages for all the artists, including tracks you can listen to, music videos to watch, and links to their websites. If you are are feeling like an explorer, that's a good place to go to and learn more about all the artists performing! Here we'll share some of the music of those artists that will be playing at the festival on Friday.

Robert Delong -

You'll be able to catch this one man electronic army on the first day of Hudson. Hailing from LA, Robert uses an array of instruments including Wii-motes, drums, his voice and keyboards... it's pretty awesome and will have you dancing. We highly suggest checking out his Soundcloud. Look for the orange 'X' logo around the festival grounds and on his set.

Moon Hooch -

Moon Hooch was sent to us to prove that music played from the soul will constantly move you. These guys started off just playing in public to pay off tuition costs (to graduate The New School for Jazz and Contemporary Music mind you). Once they hit the subways, it was all on. With an Australian TV show, a national tour with Mike Doughty, and frequent subway platform dance parties all stemming from performing underground, these guys really caught the public's eye... and they are just all around awesome.

Odesza -

We are very pumped to check out this duo from Seattle as they stop in to the Hudson Music Project during their international tour. Giving us some of that big big big electronic sound, you can be sure to see so much flow at their set. A glow kids delight, Odesza's sound will rush through your body uplifting your soul. Catch them on Friday... probably at night.

TAUK -

Tauk is a band that has literally transformed over the years. They are now at a stage where they have already toured most of the country and can capture. We've seen them at local shows, festivals and heard them on the radio, these boys make Long Island proud. You'll find yourself grooving to Tauk and their originals, as well as some of the covers they perform time to time.
