Mysteryland USA 2015: Experience Holy Ground Camping

Mysteryland is a short few months away, and if you haven't secured your camping passes, well time is running out. With the news that the Holy Ground Camping is 70% sold out, comes along that ground camping already fully sold out. What's all the hype? Well for starters, in it's inaugural year was an unforgettable experience for those in attendance. This year is quite a bit larger, and has a lot in store for all festy goers. Here's a little bit of what to be excited for.

Within the camping grounds, 'The Holy Grounds,' there is an overall theme: "DoYaWannaDance". It is inspired by old school summer camps and classic games such as Giant Jenga, Giant Connect Four, Giant Battleshots, Giant Beer Pong, Giant Operation, Bounce House dodge ball, Hamster Ball soccer (!!), 20 foot inflatable slide... and much more!

There are options for camping on the Holy Grounds. You can bring your own tent, rent an easy pop-up that's all set up for you once you get there, or you can go VIP, the Bohemian Premium packages. This will include premium viewing areas at the Mainstage and the Big Top, private bathrooms, VIP bars and on-site camping in Premium Lodges, inclusion in all pre-parties. It's a pretty sweet deal, and to not have to set anything up when you get there is supper attractive.

Friday begin early exclusively for campers. You can expect music from the BangOn! NYC party bus, as well as Pineapple Paradise and the Camping Circus tent! Campers also get the privilege of getting an early start to every day with The Breakfast Club, hosted by 'Saved By The 90's'. This booze brunch will really rock it to you and wake you up.

On the camp ground there will be a large assortment of food and beverage vendors. You will be able to find vegetarian, vegan, and gluten free vendors/options. Be sure to find all your favorite munchies too, no doubt there will be grilled cheese.

ID&T has also spent a ton of money in infrastructure of the grounds as well. We're talking a 1/2 million worth in gravel roads, shower, drainage, parking, and mud prevention to name a few things. Alongside all the attractions will also be chilled out seating all over the camp ground, morning Deep House Yoga and spiritual workshops, and then late night Silent Disco sets. Best part is you never have to walk far to get anywhere at all. With the campsites and stages only a couples minutes walk away from each other, there is so much going on you will be able to end up places you never realized you would.

There is no question in my mind that if you are planning on going to Mysteryland, you should plan on making it your home for the weekend. It will be full of adventure and an awesome community.

Mysteryland USA 2015: Imaginations will Come Alive

Festival season has already kicked off in the USA, and it will soon be spring here in the North East. There is one festival coming up pretty early this season that is gearing up to be one of the biggest and most anticipated festivals this year. Taking place on the most well known historical music festival playgrounds and encompassing the same vibes of love, community, art and culture. I'm talking about the international sensation of Mysteryland.

Definately did go through the looking glass: Photo by Andrew Rauner
Coming back for it's second year at the Bethel Woods Center for the Arts over Memorial Day Weekend (May 22-24, 2015), ID&T's Mysteryland looks to be extremely intriguing. Even at first glance, there is something that pulls you in. Maybe a part of that is the historical event of Woodstock in '69. There is a huge emphasis on culture and art and the people that it's coming from. The announcement trailer helps give off that vibe, telling a story and then combining that with the music that we love and the energy we strive for. Check it out:

What we're seeing here is some of the best musical curators in the NYC area, where there is no genre bounds. Curators such as Webster Hall, BangOn! NY, and Verboten have brought the best of the best to our door step, both musically and visually. Last year boasted artists such as Kaskade, Paper Diamond, Kill the Noise, Showtek, Dillon Francis and so many more. We can't wait to see the full lineup as it's released. You can always get a taste of the different Mysteryland sounds on their Soundcloud.

Mysteryland also aims to create a community that allows festy goers to come together and "discover new boundaries and means of self-expression through diverse settings". What this means is more happening on the festival grounds at all times of the day. Some things that have been announced this year include 'Owari No Nai', a Japanese land filled with Geisha girls, sake and perhaps even some performances. Also announced is Verboten's Culture Series which will include Deep House yoga classes, trivia nights, burlesque shows and art exhibitions from popular and upcoming artists.

Speaking of art, anyone that's been to Mysteryland or has just seen pictures knows who amazing the stages are. Fitted with lasers, towering sets with moving faces, fire works and so much more, experiencing live music with Mysteryland is like being sent to another place. This year's main stage will be debuted here in the US, and we are super stoked to see what is will look like. Also, speaking of art, the art program will be curated by Kevin Balktick. He is a Brooklyn-based producer who was been organizing art and culture experiments for over ten years. What can we expect? The sky is the limit with Kevin. Artists were encouraged to get in touch with the festival to get involved... so this may have been something you influenced. Check out that info here.

Holy Ground Camping tickets are currently 70% sold out... and you know camping is the way to go. Get ticket info and more info about Mysteryland USA 2015 right here.

Hudson Music Project - Listening to Sunday

So far we've covered a small few of the artists performing on Friday and Saturday. If you are partying responsibly, you'll be able to full take in Sunday and it's glory. There are some major performances going down, including the fully blocked out Bassnectar set, something that has been routine as previous festivals from MCP. The whole day is stacked with goodness, and we're going to check out some of them.

The Floozies -

Start your day off with The Floozies in the Circus tent. You be keeping cool with the funky and fun electronic beats. Mark Hill and Matt Hill will move the hills and start you off with a healthy does of a good time. Check out their remixes above, their set time starts at 1:30pm, you'll be up by then right?

Jonas Rathsaman -

Jonas will bring you back to the classic club flow. You'll be feeling good walking into this set. His music is fun and meant to make you move. This will also be midday in set time-terms, the perfect time to get ready for the epicness to follow. Catch Jonas in the Catskill Cave.

Moon Boots -

Keep on dancing in the Catskill Cave as you are lifted into the cosmos with Moon Boots. His bio actually refers to him being a pair of astronaut boots. That alone would have me checking him out. The music is smooth and flowing. Might play a nice introduction into Tipper...

Paper Diamond -

Alex B. is a Colorado based producer, but people have been dancing to him as Paper Diamond. Experience the raw energy that comes to a Paper Diamond set. Shivers will be sent up your spine as your arms and legs get turnt up. People will be going nuts. It will be spectacular. He'll be closing out the festival in the Circus Tent Sunday night. Find me there.

So there you have it! The whole weekend is full of great music and artists...the whole freaking weekend is! Below you'll find the Sunday lineup/set times, and be sure to check out the other two days of features!

Hudson Music Project - Listening to Saturday

Just earlier Hudson Music Project released the set times for each day of the festival. After seeing how the days will be panning out, I'm excited to say this festival will be filled with tons of awesome music and good times.

Here's what Saturday looks like:

As you can see there's four stages and sometimes they all overlap. This can complicate things when you wanted  to see a set in full, but ride the rails and the next stage over which could be a ten minute walk and a few thousand people to get through once you make it there. So you should plan ahead, create a small schedule and don't be afraid to leave it behind if you so please... there will be awesomeness everywhere, and sometimes it will find you.

Bit Funk -

When Bit Funk hits the stage, get ready for some late afternoon delightful soul. You will be feeling satisfied throughout. The is also a great place to glovers to be.. assuming the Catskill Cave stage is indoors. Set time's at 4:30pm.

Coming at you in the Circus Tent just as the sun slowly disappears, Kap Slap will bring on that big progressive house sound to your earholes. I imagine the Circus Tent to be the equivalent to the dance tents at previous festivals, and I can't wait to see the visuals happening here. Kap Slap will hit the stage at 7:30, and will directly be followed by....

Felix Cartal -

One big sound after the next. The buildups and energy in the Circus Tent will be HYPE through Felix Cartal's set. It'll be two epic hours at the festival, be sure to catch in on some of this action while you are wandering the music and grounds.

Gold Panda -

Late nights can start getting a little different at a festival. Music that is put together differently than a build and a drop. Hudson Project has graced us with an opportunity to experience Gold Panda in all his glory. This is a set I might pull the art supplies out for.

Well, whatever set you check out I'm sure they will be awesome. Remember though, explorers explore.

A Look at FarmFest 2014 (Vernon, NJ)

On the quest this summer for music festivals, we are only going to ones we've never been to before. A few are in their inaugural year, but one has been growing and entering it's third year... FarmFest.

FarmFest
Located a short distant away in New Jersey, FarmFest is being held on Rickey Farm in Vernon, July 24-26. FarmFest will have a big focus on the music, art, and different workshops. It's going for the transformational festival vibe, where you are immersed in everything going on. The music will be huge as well. The lineup is absolutely epic and we're hoping for some impromptu sets (Schlang, please).

The headliners to this shindig include Papdosio, EOTO, Phutureprimitive, Bluetech, Cosby Sweater and Space Jesus. They also just announced Moon Hooch and Liquid Stranger (with two sets O.O)!! Sooooo... yea. This is going to be one hell of a show. There all different genres and styles, all with deeper feeling to the music. The joy this brings is unspeakable.

Liquid Stranger
Phutureprimitive : Photo by Watchara

With more act TBA Here's the lineup so far:

Papadosio, EOTO, Phutureprimitive, Random Rab, Bluetech, Govinda, Andreilien (Heyoka), Gladkill, Buku, Cosby Sweater, Unlimited Aspect, Nadis Warriors, Skytree, Space Jesus, Esseks, Plassic, Technicolor Lenses, Srikalogy, Jordan Koza Family, Mystery Fyre, Suburban Sensi, Truth Now, Mshairi, Faceplant, RA!N, Brightside, Pure Blend, Wink, Sexy Black Female, ILAS, One Man and Exhilo

With art as another major focus, there will be live painters on the scene performing as well. According to the FarmFest homepage, there are four announced artists. We've seen two of them paint and do visual lighting and mapping work from here in New York. Both are geometrical geniuses, Psybe and Kaliptus. We also have Joness Jones and Christina Mazzulla, another two extraordinarily talented artists that bring two very different styles to the table.

Kaliptus
Psybe

As for the workshops, be sure to find yoga, poi and other flow, and maybe some workshops on production or music, or maybe energy flows. Since which ones haven't officially been announced yet, we can't really say  for sure! There will be workshops though and we are excited to see what's offered.

Tickets are currently in their third tier, which is only $105. For a festival like this, it's basically giving you a ticket. If you wait a little longer, it's going to go up a little, so jump on those tickets now.

**Official Release**

Now in its third year, F.A.R.M. Music and Arts Festival is going bigger than ever taking place July 24-26 in Vernon, NJ. Propelled by the growing transformational festival aesthetic, the festivals organizers have widened it’s reach; Their intentions of creating a multidimensional, free thinking, music, art and science fest is said to be one of a kind seen here on the East Coast.

The addition of Papadosio to the lineup can only mean that popularity of this festival is going to skyrocket. EOTO also adds some major muscle to this event, As there members “Jason Hann” and “Michael Travis” are the drummer and synth player of “String Cheese Incident”. There Band headlines another festival near the Great Lakes known as “ Electric Forest” . Farm Fest is making quite a statement with this bill.

Old favorites from last year return with Phutureprimitive, Unlimited Aspect, and Buku. The addition of Random Rab, Govinda, Andreilien, and Gladkill is also a huge move for the organizers. Livetronica is well represented with Cosby Sweater and Nadis Warriors, and the psychedelic sounds of the northeast are repped by Untz-faves Space Jesus and Skytree.

The festival returns to beautiful Rickey Farm. The grounds provide ample space for camping and parking, and each night, performers, dancers, painters, fire spinners, and more will light up the night sky.

Tauk: Burning Rubber and Blazing Trails

For anyone that follows festival lineups, you know there are a few names you see popping up all over at different festies. This year while on your own festival experiences there is one band we highly recommend to check out, Tauk.

This band has been around for a while, and in the past couple years they have been making waves across the country with their music. Their most recent achievements include frequent airplay of their single "Dead Signal" on Sirius XM Jam On, winning Relix Magazine's 'On The Verge' poll, preparing the release of their second full length album for this summer (with Grammy-Winning Producer Robert Carranza [Mars Volta, Jack Johnson]), and being signed onto 16 festivals throughout a full tour the started in April to last through September.

Here's a list of all their upcoming tour dates:

May 16 - Covington, KY @ Cosmo's Grille Pub w/ Aqueous
May 17 - Indianapolis, IN @ The Mousetrap w/ Aqueous
May 21 - Charlottesville, VA @ The Southern w/ DJ Williams Projekt
May 22 - Richmond, VA @ The Camel w/ DJ Williams Projekt
May 23 - High Point, NC @ Blue Burbon Jacks w/ ESP
May 24 - Asheville, NC @ Asheville Music Hall w/ Nomadic
May 25 - Knoxville, TN @ The Bowery
May 30 - Terra Alta, WV @ Domefest
May 31 - Blackstock, SC @ Blackstock Music Festival

Sept 12 - Rock Camp, WV @ Pink Moon Festival

That's one hell of a tour. Another recent accomplishment would definitely include the over 50,000 hits on their cover of the Beatles' I Want You (She's So Heavy). We actually go to see them do this live at Peach Festival last year, and it was amazing to witness. Check it out here:

So while your out there tour and checking out new music, make sure you have Tauk on your mind.

The Great North Music and Arts Festival - A True Festy Kid Experience

A few weeks back mark my personal return to the great north east, Maine. It's been many years since my parents were taking me and my siblings to go into nature a little more, and experience the small towns and different eats. There was a great calling this time, one that blended music, art, and activism almost flawlessly.

The Great North Music and Arts Festival had it's first birthday September 27-29, and popped Maine's cherry for lack of larger festivals. The lineup was ridiculously talented, with both well known and not-so-well-known performers. Thanks to the names and the grinding promotion done, people were coming out from over the surrounding states, many traveling over 6 hours by car, including John and I. The drive from NYC was gorgeous, especially for the time of year. Trees up north are just beginning to turn, and it almost felt like we were cheating the system going to a camping music festival after the main 'season' had already ended. That weather stayed all weekend long with highs nearing 80, no clouds in sight, and chilly but clear nights. It really felt as if Summer was lingering there for us.

As we got to the camp grounds, there were signs everywhere telling us that this was going to be an awesome time. People were smiling left and right, dancing around campsites, groups meditating, the smells of food being cooked, and plenty of color throughout the grounds. It felt like there were people everywhere, camps were popping up in the woods, golf carts with staff were driving around making sure people were having a good time, people walking around with their friends and some working dogs were around as well... it felt like a small village.

After taking a quick walk around, I realized that the ground were not enormous, but felt that way because of all the things to look at and take it. There was an artists' tent by the main stage, but there was art everywhere. It literally felt like this was a home for people that not only love music, but also care about expression and communication. This is so important these days were there are people who don't know how to talk to one another. Even when the music started up, a rapper was on stage freestyling a message to all the festival goers about keeping clean and being safe... it was the first time in about 12 festivals I ever heard anyone give a positive message like that, and it made the days that I longed for something like "PLUR" make sense.

Alex and Allyson Grey
Beats Antique
RJD2

Originally, the lineup had me really excited. From the legendary artists Alex and Alysson Grey to the worldly folk sounds of Beats Antique, there was a pre-existing expectation of talent being brought to the table. In my reality, the names did not blow me away, but the unexpected sets that were the most epic. When Beats Antique took the stage, they started preforming all my favorite tracks, but to me it felt like I was listening to my Pandora channel. Granted their belly dancing member Zoe was not present, there was still a lacking feeling in energy and musical inclination. So I decided to begin walking over to the second stage area where ill.Gates was performing. There were maybe 45 people tops watching and grooving with him, and although I only caught the last 20 minutes of the set, it blew me away. I also need to mention RJD2. His set was also pretty freaking groovy. There was one point where the music cut out, and when he got on the mic, he joked about being a vinyl DJ and how sometimes the records crack, then back to the beats. He was really a stand up performer.

ill.Gates

The point is simple. Any form of art, from dancing to painting to making music, does not need the media hype behind it to be mind blowing. Pretty much every person I met that weekend had talent in some area, for some it wasn't even art but growing produce, or the some of the most top quality buds I've personally seen (it is legal to grow in Maine with a license). All this passion and skill at the festy did wonders for it. It proved, once again, that the EDM community is way more than what the main stream media is making it out to be. There were no major incidents, and everyone had a blast.

I cannot wait until next year.

Size In The Park: Will NYC Accept How Big Size Gets?

For a huge banger that you don't need to take a ferry to. You need to check out this installment of

For it's second year coming, Steve Angello and Size Records are bringing this huge party to Central Park. Saturday is already sold out, but any show goer knows there are tickets around. Just don't expect too many miracles, there will be tons of people making there way. And this is why.

The Lineup:

Friday, September 27
Steve Angello
AN21 & Max Vangeli
Arno Cost
Third Party
Saturday, September 28
Steve Angello
Sunnery James & Ryan Marciano
Tim Mason
Trent Cantrelle

If you want to make it there, you will. Being local in NY has it's perks. Also look around, you might find something decent on Craigslist, or on some Facebook group doing a giveaway. In any case, with the heat on parties like this since EZoo and even back when the Excision shows got cancelled, it'll be interesting to see if this makes it to day 2. Central Park...is central to NYC. Bloomberg has this on his radar.
This will be a show to remember. If you are one of the people who get to be there and experience these sets, it will be a night to remember... or at least pieces of.

The Peach Music Festival: Artist Spotlight: Glactic

We're ready to get down at the Peach Music Festival! The more listening and reading we do into the acts coming to the Peach Music Festival, the more excited we are. There are acts coming out from all over the country, and that play all different blends of genres of music. One group that will be an absolute joy to see and get funky to, is Galactic.

Formed in 1996, Galactic has been keeping that funky-soulful vibe to this very day. With the flow of a band jamming out and a beautiful mix and progression of sounds, Galactic was made to make you dance and groove. The band is local to New Orleans, which makes sense with so many of their beats being so sultry and spicy. With so many different influences coming to the table from hip hop, electronic, world music, to rock, blues and jazz, these eclectic sounds mix together and really feed the soul.

Make sure you check out Galactic at the Peach Music Festival, August 15-18. Get your tickets HERE.

Essential Music Festival Packing List: Camp Bisco 12

Summer has officially started, and with that the music festival tours are heating up!! Here at EGP we have toured around to different festivals over the years, learning what to expect and how to 'survive' for the weekend in the rough. So we are here today to help share our knowledge on what to pack up to ensure you are comfortable, happy, and enjoying the festival to the fullest extent.

Firstly, do yourself a favor and check the website of whatever festival you are planning on going to. The next thing to keep in mind is that the following camping list is aimed at those who are looking for the essentials, aka the short list. Being that the next festival we are covering will be Camp Bisco 12, this list will include essential tips specifically for this year's Camp Bisco at Indian Lookout Country Club.

DON'T FORGET! Click around the festival's main website for very specific information for this or any event. No one will tell you the rules and what's happening there better than the event coordinators. The folks at MCP are pros, so heed their words of advice and their rules.

1. Bring your TICKET.

Sounds almost silly right? You bought your ticket and it came in the mail, don't forget it at home! It can cause an unnecessary headache for you. There are way too many times we've heard of someone forgetting their tickets at home. That's just...forgetful. It does happen though, so to help you prove you bought that ticket and sort out the damage...

2. Bring your WALLET.

Really, there are only three things you will potentially need in there. Your ID, cash, and a debit/credit card for more money if you have one. There will be bars there with booze, and they will ID you. How much money you want to bring is up to you.  We can't make you any promises of the people you connect with, but don't be surprised to trade your own beers or food for that dope collectible pin or wrap. Money is needed though, so make sure to have some.

3. Bring something to SLEEP IN.

No, not sleep in past day break, sleep inside of. We're talking a tent, or maybe a hammock. Think about how many people are staying in your tent. It's always fun to have a slumber party with your buddies, or maybe you prefer to have a small establishment of tents. Whatever you decide to do, make sure it makes sense. Not every festy will have a spot to sleep dangling in the hammock. Don't forget a blanket (or more than one, some places get cold at night), a pillow, and tarps in case of rain. Some festivals allow for car camping as well, but it usually costs extra!! For Camp Bisco 12 there are still tickets left for that, but they are limited. Get car camping tickets HERE.

Potential Dirt... Be Prepared

4. Bring CLOTHING.

Or just some. For Bisco we'll be in New York... so no public lewdness AKA nudity (read the law speak HERE). Being that it's summer and very hot, you'll want t-shirts and shorts. At least one shirt and underwear per day, and a pair of shorts for daytime and a pair of pants and a sweatshirt for night. For shoes, an old pair of sneakers or sandals with backs work wonders, and absolutely a pair of galoshes. Basically, anything you don't mind getting dirty. If you bring your nice shoes, they will get ruined. There is lots of dirt, which turns into mud if it rains. Also, bring a hat to protect yourself from the sun and keep you a little cooler. Bring a bandanna or two as well. Any of the above can be bought at the festival, but you will pay for it, sometimes a lot more than the store.

5. Bring FOOD.

Don't go crazy. A small cooler of fruit, granola bars, maybe some canned food too. Make sure anything that can melt or go bad stays in the cooler! You can bring a grill if you wanted to. You can bring a small single burner propane grill, or a larger Coleman griddle, but keep in mind keeping the grill clean, gas, wooden spatula/spoon, space for packing, keeping food fresh...it's a hassle. They sell food on premise, but it will sometimes run on the expensive side. Correlate money and food brought with your fellow camping friends to figure out how to keep your bellies full.

6. WATER.

Either factory sealed bottles or an empty container to carry. They have water stations throughout the festival where you can refill your bottle. Feeling sketched out by public water flows? Get a bottle with a filter. Do that, save money, and stay thirsty my friends!

7. ALL THAT EXTRA SH*T.
Here's some other stuff you should bring.

- Toiletries: tooth brush, tooth paste, towel, toilet paper, soap, small shampoo.
There are porta-potties and even public showers available (both inside and out). Expect lines when the music is pumping and everybody is awake.

- FLASHLIGHT
It's really dark at night.

- Trash bags
KEEP YOUR AREA CLEAN DURING AND AFTER THE FESTIVAL. You are an adult, clean up after yourself.

- Folding chair/blanket
It's nice to take a seat in front of a stage or by your campsite.

- Sun screen
Protect against cancer and burns!!

- Bug spray
Protect against pests!!

- Travel cart
If you packed all this, and everything else we didn't tell you to bring, it might be a good idea to make sure you have a cart to carry all that. You will be making long trips from parking to camping.

- Small extras: small knife, extra rope, rain jacket, sunglasses, skill toys (gloves, poi, hula hoop, etc), pen/paper, art supplies, music gear, first aid kit, lighter, ear plugs, camera, zip lock bags, small lock.
These things will help you out and are small enough to not take up too much space. As far as keeping your possessions safe (ie: cell phone, credit card, camera, etc) it's your responsibility. Lock your possessions, keep electronics in plastic bags, and keep your stuff safe.

***Most importantly above all things, BRING YOURSELF.

YOU are special in your own ways.
YOU will connect with like minded people and people that find you interesting.
YOU love having fun and getting along with people.

Open your mind a little bit. Listen to music you wouldn't normally. Check out all the vendors and the different workshops, get involved with clean up and other fun stuff like Color War. Say hi to everyone. Ask if you don't know. Being at a festival is like being part of a community that is super energetic and constantly moving. Participate with everyone and you will be rewarded a hundred times over.

EGP Festival Watch 2013: Camp Bisco 12

Wassup everyone? It's Wish here, about to drop the first look into festivals this year. Year round music festivals are happening all over the world. Every year they are becoming more popular and different festivals have become known as the ones to go to. With this wave of increased festival participation, new music festivals with their own flares have also been emerging all over, some of which are definitely ones to go to. As we get closer to the summer time, and already some festy tickets have gone on presale and sold out in record times, we are going to start letting you know about some of our selection of favorites. From new festivals to old favorites, we're going to start, now.

Last year I had the opportunity to attend my very first festy, Camp Bisco 11. Going in as press, as well as getting a vendors and campers perspective, the whole experience was mind blowing, in a nut shell. It also set me up to what set off a small festival tour, essentially preparing me for what to expect, what to bring, and how to mold into the community that is built in less than a day.

Getting Through the Crowd by Nick Soley

A Small Portion of the Camping by Times Union
Held upstate New York at a place known as the Indian Lookout Country Club in Mariaville, Camp Bisco will become home to tens of thousands of people from around the world this July. This year will make for Camp Bisco 12, and probably the largest one to date. This is a festival that has grown and morphed over the years, but without ever loosing that essential artistic and community vibe. Even when the initial boost of people came in for Camp 10, and left the townsfolk not to happy, MCP Presents showed their professionalism by making Camp 11 one of the smoothest to date. With another new festival under their belt (CounterPoint), this will be a fantastic and hopefully very smooth year for them. So far they have our full attention.

Skrillex by Wish
Silent Bisco by Wish
It Get's a Little Crazy by Wish

There is so much to do at camp. Of course there is a very large emphasis on the music with three main stages, side stages, RV DJs, campsite parties, and musical ice cream trucks. Silent Disco is an awesome experience when the stages shut the sound off. There are live art exhibits, projection screens, and plenty of people making their own art. There is basically a vendor village, with a line of vendors selling everything you can imagine. Walk far down enough to get to food you can buy.

Dancing the Night Away by Wish

It was a wild time last year, and everyone is very excited to go back again this year. The lineup was dropped today, and it's looking quite appealing. Some favorites I'm looking forward to catching live again include Bassnectar, Zoogma, Gramatik, Break Science, Designer Drugs, Heroes x Villians, Lotus, and of course The Disco Biscuits themselves.  Unfortunately, early bird tickets are sold out. Ticket's are still under $200, and there's vip/platinum available, so now's the time to grab them. This about getting all your friends into a large campsite. There will probably be a bunch of contests that will include carpoolers, themed camp sites, and who knows what else. This is a big one, and there will be plenty of surprises around every corner.
