New Music Release - Sunshine Harry - Tauk

Long Island native quartet band Tauk released a brand new song today with a free download! The song is titled 'Sunshine Harry', and it's release kicks off the bands East Coast Halloween Tour.

The track is pretty deep and a lot of fun to listen to. It is almost like a journey into an area that you never really understood before, but the deeper you go into it, the more and more it intrigues you and pulls you in. If I could give the band it's own sub genre, it would be musical story telling. Don't just take my word for it, check it out!

"[Sunshine Harry] was actually originally a B-side on ‘Homunculus,' but it sounds so eerie, we though it would work better as a Halloween single." - Alric "A.C" Carter

Tauk will be in several states for this Fall tour including D.C., Maryland, Philly and New York. Their live show in fantastic as they proved when we caught them at The Peach Music Festival during the summer time. Make sure to check out their TOUR DATES for upcoming shows in your area. With this track release, we are only more excited to see what comes next!

When We Work Together: Mr. Bill & Haywyre

Way back when in 2012, Gravitas Recordings kicked off their first ever volume of the Neurovation Charity Compilation. They teamed up with a great lineup of artists from all over the world, including Gramatik, Kraddy, Knight Riderz, Minnesota and Starkey to name a few.  All proceeds of this compilation release benefited Charity:Water, bringing clean, safe drinking water to people in developing countries. After this initial team up and release, another relationship with the label began to blossom, with Australian producer, Mr Bill.
Mr Bill
In conjunction with Mr Bill, Gravitas Recordings ran a remix contest featuring his song Cheya, again to help raise money for Charity:Water. It was a beautiful thing, first seeing all the more well known artists coming together to support a cause, and then the outreach to the EDM community as a whole. After the contest ended, six talented producers were featured on the remix album. We followed the contest right HERE on EGP, so you can check out some of our top picks for who would walk away winning their titles... and one such artist did indeed win the Grand Prize. Haywyre (who caught him at Lightning in a Bottle?!).

Not even 24 hours ago, a track posted on Soundcloud caught our eye, a collaboration between Mr Bill and Haywyre titled Dress Codes. It feels like things are coming full circle, and another producer that deserves our attention is working together with a name that is getting around. The track is absolutely classy, fun, jazzy, and everything you need to move. Grab your slippers, smoking jacket and ottoman, this is going to be a good listening experience.

Z-Dar: Mr Bill - Cheyah Remix Contest Presented by Gravitas Recordings)

Whatsup everybody? It's Z here and I've been around the web a little bit lately and I caught wind of none other than Mr. Bill's very own remix contest he has got in collaboration with Gravitas Recordings for the awesome track Chyeah off the Neurovation Compilation. This remix contest in particular is especially interesting as the judges panel is an all star cast. The likes of which include Bil Bless, Gruff, Psymbionic, Great Scott, and Mr. Bill himself. It seems to me to be a more tight knit endeavor than the usual Beatport contest styles and I feel like a lot of awesome tracks will be popping up on account of this. So as per usual, I took some time to go through a bunch of tracks to show you the ones I personally like the most. I'll post links up to where you can find all these songs as well as the rest of the entries.

This one here Is by an artist that calls himself Xuno. It's a romantic bass infused remix that he calls Luxury. It's deep heavy and wet and I love it. Definitely one of the stand out remixes to me.

This next one up is by the California native Illustrated. This one is more on the high end oh things with simplicity without being too similar being its stronger points. the beat change in the end is nice.

This one here is by Hack the System out of Italy. I love this remix it has a very Moomba styled bounce that keeps the song flowing nice. It's very different for a Mr. Bill remix.

This gem is by Rynosaur, and it's a bassed Neurohop remix that doesn't spare on the bass manipulation. It twirls and grinds and it progresses and it's a good track to get things started.

This one here is by Thrilla coming out of the US. It's a simple Glitch Hop remix with enough added to give it a wholly different feel. I enjoy it a lot.

Another Glitch Hop remix coming your way by SugarBeats. It's got a lot more meat to it as far as these remixes go and I like it. I think I'm gonna keep this guy on the radar cause it seems like he's going to get a lot better.

I feel like this remix is totally gonna win. By none other than Haywyre we get the liquid smooth styles of his very well known smooth Dubstep and Jazz stylings with Mr. Bill brand Glitch to make a Glitch Hop outing that shines above the rest. I'm gonna be surprised if this one doesn't win.

As you can see this contest is getting crazy, Both a grand prize winner and a runner up will be chosen to appear on the release, and in addition will receive prizes from SoundCloud, Keith McMillen Instruments, iZotope, and Ableton Liveschool, and all winners will have their track appear on the official remix EP. If you want the original track check HERE and if you wanna check the other entries check HERE. Thanks for tuning in. Lets see who wins shall we?

The Z-Dar: Seven Lions Beatport Contest

Hey people! It's Z here with another contest that I could not keep my hands off of. Beatport has another contest up in collaboration with Seven Lions and OWSLA for Seven Lions amazing track Days to Come off the Days to Come EP that was released about a month ago. There has been a ton of artist putting their all into this contest, with tons of amazing new faces and styles that are coming out of the woodwork. The contests keep getting bigger and bigger at Beatport and with the ante so high and the numbers so large you can bet even some familiar faces have followed suit to take a crack at remixing too. With the grand prize being an OWSLA record release, among other goodies, to be in the ranks and likes of Skrillex, Zedd, Porter Robinson, Kill The Noise, and Jack Beats to name a few, you can bet that theres gonna be a lot of gold this time around.

Today at EGP I feel I should give some airtime to the artists and their respected remixes that caught my eye for this contest. I took some time to head over to the Beatport page and listened to an ear numbing amount of remixes about 1300 give or take a couple hundred, picked out a bunch I liked the best and that I feel deserve to win the contest. Due to the sheer number of amazing tracks I found I feel I'm pressed to break my limit this time and give you a lot more tracks than I previously had planned. Keep in mind as with any other contest article that this is all my own opinion, I tried to do this with variety in mind so if anything you know that if you don't like any of the individuals up here you can figure that there's sure to be a bunch out there that you most definitely will like. The winner of this one gets announced January 1st, 2013 so keep your calendars marked to see which one it is.

This one here is by Infrasonix. It has beautiful light jumpy dubstep style to it. It's ridiculously fun and engaging. A surprising remix to come out of this contest I'd say. (VOTE FOR Infrasonix HERE)

This one here is from the Canada native, Cublete. It's got some amazing chillout vibes that this song perfectly melds with. It's relaxing and great if you wanna hear this song in a more vocally pure form. A+ (VOTE FOR Cublete HERE)

This one up here is by OSKR a producer from Britian, and its a sick Electro House remix that you can't help but move to. I wanna hear this dropped somewhere very soon, It's dancy as all hell, an amazing remix in my opinion. (VOTE FOR OSRK HERE)

This next one up is an impressively done light Trap remix by Slander, 7Deadlysynths, and Direwolfe. It's an unexpected remix for a lot of people checking this contest out. Not much people expected a well done trap remix coming out of this song and this one is amazing. I love the way they did it. (VOTE FOR Slander/7Deadlysynths/Direwolf HERE)

This one here is by none other than Singularity, he always seems to find a way to get on this site oddly enough, but this remix is too tight to not feature on this article. It's a great remix and the quality of production is amazing. (VOTE FOR Singularity HERE)

This one here is by Coyote Kisses, a favorite of mine, He took a different approach that most would expect with more of a electronic pop rock kinda feel going on. It works really well and I love it. (VOTE FOR Coyote Kisses HERE)

This next one up is a collaboration between I.Y.F.F.E. and AU5, and it's a heavy as hell banger of a Drumstep song. Its definitely a crowd melter if I ever heard one. Sick bass manipulation thats intense but still fitting into the song without being abrasive. (VOTE FOR I.Y.F.F.E. HERE)

This one is by a duo from Britian that goes by the name Culture Code. The have a very dramatic dubstep rendition that fits the tone of the original. It's very movie-esque and moving, Its a fun song that I know I'm definitely gonna revisit. (VOTE FOR Culture Code HERE)

This one here is by Kicks n Licks from San Diego. It's Melodic all all hell with reverberating bass that penetrates and makes you wanna dance. It's a fun remix, and I like how overblown it is without being overdone. (VOTE FOR Kicks n Licks HERE)

HONORABLE MENTIONS:

These next few I liked alot but for whatever reason I feel like they didnt beat the rest in the limits I made for myself, so I decided to throw em up here at the end for honors sake. I really do enjoy them though so let this be a sort of shout out to the artists under here.

The Z-Dar - AU5

Whatsup everybody! Z here once again and I absolutely need to share with you some pure gold I stumbled on to. The man's name is Austin Collins, He is a 20 year old New Jersey native, and alot of you will very soon come to know him as his stage name and current EDM project AU5 [pronounced A-U-5]. The energy flowing off this guy's tracks is something else, and his production is super tight and upper echelon professional for a guy who surprisingly doesn't have a lot of play, but from the quality I'm seeing that's gonna change very soon. He says he made his own genre out of his influences called "trancestep" which includes elements of electro, progressive house, trance, and dubstep and it really shows. The quality of production comes out really nice you'd think he was a veteran and rightfully so as he's been producing and making music since he was only 12 years of age! That's a feat in itself and there are a lot of younger producers out there as of late if anything the phenomenal quality of this is what we should be expecting in the future once a lot of the younger upstarts, start growing into themselves. Anyways, today at EGP I would love to share with you some stand out tracks from the man to show you what he's all about. Check em out!

Hypersphere [Released - Atom Recordings] by Au5 (Official)

This track is called Hypersphere off of AU5's Iconoclast EP released under Atom Recordings, and its an experience. Starting off with cool glitchy tics and nice melodic highs, it instantly gives off a feeling you come to know as original and a good taste test for AU5. it later breaks off into tight percussion accompanied by some sick bass that manages to be heavy as hell without being overwhelming. It's dubstep at some of its highest and melodic, and that isn't a bad thing.

Depths of Ice II [Released - Atom Recordings] by Au5 (Official)

This track is a preview of his track titled Depths of Ice II also off the Iconoclast EP, and this one is more of a good representation off his "trancestep" stylings he seems to be going for. Melodically is very light and airy, very icy feeling, which is funny since I think those instruments he uses were in Ice Cap Zone in Sonic! (No seriously, let me know AU5 I'm curious). Then you get swept under your feet as the crushing bass beams itself in with some awesome sounding bass manipulation. It's a good one, one of those songs where you think it's too early in the morning to be heavy but you want it anyways.

The Essence [Atom Recordings] by Au5 (Official)

This track is a preview of his track titled The Essence, also released under Atom Recordings, and its got an almost heavenly feel to it. The highs are nice and comfortable then it drags you into an almost vertigo inducing drop that melts into mid bass and low end bass. its a beautiful fusion of trance and dubstep and the beat changes are seamless and fit the overall feel of the entire package.

Au5 - Singularity [Preview] by Au5 (Official)

This gem of a track is a preview of his upcoming track titled Singularity. It's his newest production available and it's a sexy beast of a song. Refining the "trancestep" sound to a whole different level. I can't wait for this one to come out the bass is smooth and grinding at the same time, I'm not even sure if thats supposed to be possible, but keep your eyes open on the look out for this one in the future.

There looks like theres gonna be a very bright future in store for AU5, I personally wanna get a chance to check him out live myself. I may look into trying to get him booked onto some NY shows in the future if possible. Keep your eyes peeled for any releases from this man, Theres a new track coming out with Fractal that's an intense trancey drumstep with some killer vibes to it.

Z-Dar: AEPH

Whatsup everyone! It's Z once again, and today I'm sharing with you guys some sick music I've been tuning into for a while now. The London native artist goes by the name of Simone Vallecorsa or his stage name Aeph, and I know a lot of you may have been checking him out for years now since he's been going strong for more than 5 years. His intense bassed-the-hell-out style varies from amazingly uptempo neuro funk styled drum & bass to nicely represented dubstep. I literally listen to him for hours on end personally as his catchy style and forward momentum keep it a mainstay on a lot of my playlists, so today at EGP I decided to throw some tracks up with a few reviews for you all to enjoy.

AEPH - SAVAGE JACKSON (BT024) by Aeph

This first song I'm throwing up named "Savage Jackson" off the Bad Taste Recordings compilation album "Bad Taste Volume 5" is a way beyond sick cerebral bore of creepy upbeat D&B bliss. It's intense sound manipulation mixes really well with its vertigo inducing bass that branches off into highs that sound almost alien in origin. A pure party starting track that's sure to turn heads if you wanna drop it when they least expect it.

AEPH - NIGHTRIDER (BT022B) by Aeph

This next one up is called "Nightrider" and its a surprising and original styled entry to neuro funk. It has an ear catching high energy 80's styled intro that builds itself into one of the dirtiest drops that almost makes you believe that you got blasted off your feet. It retains an old school 80's synth feel throughout that really makes the song a fusion of old and new to make something so much better. It later goes off around 4:04 mark into a creeping heavy bass riff that gallops the song into such a driving feel that keep you going hard.

AEPH - HIGHWAY THIRTEEN (BRD010A) by Aeph

This one here is called "Highway Thirteen" and its got such an awesome cinematic feel that really matches the song, kind of what you would imagine would be playing on an intense dirty futuristic Quentin Tarantino movie if he were into this kinda music. It's a song built out of pure adrenaline with creepy atmospheric overtones that break into something memorable, the bass manipulation is top notch here and the highs drive the cinematic feel even more.

AEPH - HOEDOWN (BRD010B) by Aeph

This one "Hoedown" is probably one of the best examples I can give of neuro funk styled D&B. It's intricate as hell and a great party song with breakbeat styled drumming over the usual drum and bass flare. It's got fantastic highs that create a sense of amazement that give a nice dark, but light hearted feel over the bass that create its own rhythms in unison with each other. This is one of those songs you drop in the middle of a set to get everyone going again, a favorite of mine personally.

AEPH - HOLY CALL (BT012B) by Aeph

This last one up "Holy Call" is not for the faint of heart. Don't let its low key quiet minimal intro fool you it's a mind melting demonstration of the skills that Aeph possesses. It's got a lot of variation in structure without making it overwhelming by keeping the beat timing consistent. The way the bass is presented and layered is amazing, and the electro neuro style screams flavor. It's different in an interesting way, something to definitely check out.

Honestly, I can't wait to hear more coming out of Simone Vallecorsa, His already beastly style is something I can see growing into massive proportions. He's got a ton of releases out and I highly recommend getting them as these short previews don't do the total experience justice. Any US promoters should look into this if you wanna get some heads turning, specifically NY promoters cause I would love to be able to catch a show myself once he's around!

Z-Dar - Singularity (artist/music review)

Whatsup everybody? Z here once again and I'm coming to you to share with you Singularity. he is an artist that's been on the radar  as an up an coming producer from the states for quite some time and as a personal favorite I've wanted to cover for a while now. So due to his plethora of new tracks off his Breathe EP (free download!), I figured what better time than now? He has a style that is very precise on his productions, it have remnants of chip tune sensibilities that stand out well with tight production quality and crunchy rhythms that melt together amazingly as stand alone melodies that give a sound that boarders somewhere between Gameboy and alien crystalline planet. So today all you EGPunks, I'm gonna give an artist overview to the LA native Singularity, and play you some tracks from the new EP as well as some of my favorites from the back catalog.

Singularity - Fracture *FREE DOWNLOAD* by Singularity

Fracture is one of Singularity's newer tracks, taken off the Breathe EP. It's definitely one of the more interesting takes on a Glitch-Hop ensemble, with catchy rhythms overlaying the whole piece and drops that are on the less abrasive side that come elegantly after melted interludes. The arranging is top notch and the tight synth work that Singularity is quickly making a name for himself with is more apparent than ever.

Singularity - Crave *FREE DOWNLOAD* by Singularity

Crave is an amazing piece of art. It's melody instantly drags you into a comforting space with a electro vibe that has a lot to be admired. It's clean drum play has some real staying power keeping the overall flow of the track going well and the vibe high as hell. If that's not enough, it then smacks you in the face with some impressive vocal work that is consistent enough to be a feature but not done too long and frequent to take away from the actual song structure itself and to top it off it was done by Singularity himself. Multi faceted and talented in all fields I hope to hear more all encompassing work by the man In the future.

Singularity- Pulse *FREE DOWNLOAD* by Singularity

Pulse is a more reserved entry ensemble wise as it keeps to the tried and true dubstep formula, but don't let that fool you one bit. It's impressively done. It keeps a more airy vibe throughout and just lets the drums carry it through for most of the way giving a more Trance-esque feel that breaks off into a more liquidy breakbeat/drum and bass motif before it drops into a glitchy, crunchy, all around fun before bering it back to that trance feel you got comfortable with before. Not a party song by any means but one of his best chillout songs to date.

Singularity - Breathe (Feat. Steffi Nguyen) *FREE DOWNLOAD* by Singularity

Breathe, if you hadn't already figured out, is the title track to the newest EP, featuring vocals by none other than Steffi Nguyen who Singularity has used before on his song Fade. It's probably the most varied out of all the tracks on Breathe with super tight production quality and drum play that gets the intensity without breaking the overall chillout vibes from the beginning that are only intensified by the vocal, until it drops abruptly turning it into the banger you wouldn't immediately notice. Deserving of being the title track as I see it incorporates a lot of the skills from the previously featured tracks melded together in a way that gives it a stand alone feel.

Singularity - Earthbound (Original Mix) * OUT NOW ON ITUNES* by Singularity

This one off Singularity's back catalogue released about a half a year back is called Earthbound, It has a jumpy Glitch-Hop feel that keeps you dancing. It presumably features vocals by Singularity himself, It hasn't been made official but it sounds exactly like the person who does Crave which Singularity came out and said he did himself. It has more a video game chip tune feel to the entire thing that is done tastefully without being annoying, and the Mario jump is a fun touch.

Singularity - Nanox (Original Mix) *OUT NOW ON BEATPORT* by Singularity

Nanox is another one off the back catalog that was released a little more than a half year ago. It's one of the most cliff diving vertigo inducing tracks Ive heard in Glitch-Hop history. It bring euphoria whenever it kicks into overdrive from one modest end of the EDM spectrum till it soars into space with an impressive melody that glitches itself into percussion, and the only way that makes any sense is if you check it out yourself.  Finding impressive ways to be hard hitting as the best of them without being heavy to the point of being generic and abrasive.

Singularity is definitely one to keep on the radar, hopefully someone books him in NY or tries to get him on a few festivals that I could take the time to check out because I'm interested in seeing how he can do live sets. His sound is original to him as not much people in the same fields of genres take their time to cultivate a distinct difference in sounds that they can call their own so to see that progress further and taken into the live music territory would be nice. Any promoters who check our site out and I know there are a good number of you can make that happen, but for now go to his website and check out the new Breathe EP along with other music.

Fitz - Whatchu Know 'Bout That - GRiZ

Finally!! After six months of waiting, GRiZ has finally released the song that he had teased us with way back in February. Smash the Funk is a perfect example of why GRiZ is one of the quickest rising stars in the Electronic Music scene. GRiZ seamlessly flows from smooth melodic electrosoul into some of the craziest jumpin beats and still includes a deep sax solo... If this song doesn't prove to you that GRiZ is a artist to follow, you should probably stop reading this blog.

Smash The Funk (forthcoming album MAD LIBERATION SEPT 4th) by GRiZ

Download this song and the rest of Mad Liberation September 4th! You can also catch GRiZ live this weekend in Chicago with Grizmatik at the House of Blues for the North Coast Music Festival or wait until Nov. 17th when he returns to New York to play Terminal 5 with  Bassnectar and Gladkill.

Audio-Lust with Fitz - StereoTerra

I am so unbelievably excited for StereoTerra! This is the first annual festival for StereoTerra, being held this weekend in Edenville, Michigan. It features one of the best lineups I've seen all summer. On top of that its being held in nature. Imagine the woods, two rivers and a lake... the place looks gorgeous. There's also going to be plenty to do outside of dancing and jamming out, with such activities planned as a festival wide scavenger hunt, their own version of the dating game, and "the worlds largest dreamcatcher" over the course of four days and all for a pricetag of 75 dollars! I have a feeling this may be the festival of the summer and Electric Ghost Punk will be there to provide coverage. Here's a quick sampling of some of the artists playing.

The Z-Dar: Raf Riley

Whatsup Internet, Z here again and today I felt like I had to share some personal hotness from my collection I feel wasn't getting enough attention in the EDM scene in the U.S. let alone the rest of the world away from the U.K. which even in itself is in spades. So for today's artist overview is on none other than Raf Riley.

The onslaught of a producer Riley is a 21 year old from North London who is currently signed to Labrinth's Odd Child Recordings and is creative quite a stir in the underground for those who pay attention to what I call the "release flow" of music. His style mixes everything from Trap, Drum and Dubstep, Moombahton, and other influences on all sides of the spectrum cultivating a sound that is very much his own and can't even be called any of the genres he decides to take from and build upon. I was literally taken aback by his producerial genius a couple weeks ago as I sampled some tracks so here at EGP today I wanna share with you this bit of EDM gold. I'm warning you here, prepare to be blown away, at least I was. I think you guys trust me enough, now don't ya?

This first track is off his recently released EP Dog Unit, which by the way is available free, and this impressive beast of a song is a certified BANGER. His incorporation of Drumstep stylings twisted into a form only known as Raf Riley with an almost surrealistic feel to its highs, well placed and crunched into a almost royal sounding overtone complete with crushing intense bass and drumplay.

Etta Bond x Raf Riley - Boring Bitches by Raf Riley

This next one is featuring vocals from Etta Bond. Her and Raf Riley have another free EP out called ETTA BOND X RAF RILEY for your listening pleasure. This song is just as impressive with a Trap outing that quickly destroys the wall into some more intense bass-play. This is sure to get spun at many events soon, and I for one can't wait to hear this dropped.

This next one is the first track off the Dog Unit EP, and this is Trap at its finest. It creatively mixes that police siren sample in a way that doesn't make me pissed off at it, and that's a feat in itself. The 808 bass is something else and its interludes are surprisingly funky. Making a whole ensemble that feels like something you'd listen to in the future in some far off time where music has evolved beyond comprehension.

I personally believe Raf Riley might be the next big thing especially with the whole Trap movement coming on up in the EDM scene. Keep your ears open, and expect a lot from him. I know I'm gonna be on the lookout for any shows or events in the area that he might spin at. If this isn't enough to make you keep him on the radar then I don't know what is.

Till next time.

Love and Light,
Z

The Z-Dar: Haywyre

Where to start?! What's up people Z here, and I'd like to share with you an artist that has had my ear for quite some time. Haywyre is the name, and if you hadn't been up on this increasingly popular artist then just let me enlighten you for a bit. Martin Vogt has a style that can only be called his own with a sick mix of electronica fused with dubstep, Hip-Hop styling, and classy Jazz breaks that come together nicely. He's definitely one of the more talented artists as he masters and produces all of his own stuff, and incorporates tons of live instruments in his recordings as well. He is definitely one to be on your radar and today at EGP we're gonna share and review some of my more favorite tracks by the experience known as Haywyre.

This first track is off his most recent album Infinite Which is available for free by the way via Bandcamp where you can find a lot more of his music, Its stylings give almost a nostalgic feel with a very video game-esque feel that comes together nicely with an ambient flow in the beginning crushing into one of the most liquidy smooth drops I've heard in a long time. Definitely a favorite by most who know the extended discography.

The Observer (Preview) by Haywyre

This next one is off the Encompassing EP which is available at Beatport. It has an almost dark grinded glitch hop feel with great highs that bring the song full swing into an emotional roller coaster. The real drums in the overall package give it a very evil Big Gigantic feel. This song is totally nuts in the best way possible and its one that I frequent a lot, and that's hard to do.

This hard little gem is off of his album The Voyage also available on BeatPort. It shows off his harder side with a Dubstep outing that boarders almost on mysticism. It definitely entrances with its sick breaks, and dramatic style. Another personal favorite I thought would be great to share.

Another one off of The Voyage, this track Atmospheric Evolution shows the intense versatility of Haywyre as it starts off with some smooth jazz, all instrument work done by Haywyre himself that prove his legitimate musicianship. It's one of those laid back tunes you play to get that fix of some harder Glitch Hop without getting too intense. Stuff like this really certify that he's got a lot more potential that I feel future releases will blow people out of the water.

Raw Crunch ft Jay Fresh by Haywyre

Rawest of the Raw, Raw Crunch, My FAVORITE track off Infinite, goes ridiculously hard with some of the chillest lightest glitched out intro and interludes that make an altogether full spectrum song. With one of the dopest funk influenced drops you can ever imagine with vicious velocity inducing highs that make anyone wanna dance. It's a killer for sure and there are even two versions of this song at your listening disposal. The second one features rap by none other than Jay Fresh It adds a lot of emotion to the overall package that was already a great track made even better. A god send for DJs that wanna mix some variation into their sets if they are already on the haywyre train.

As you can already tell Martin Vogt of Haywyre spares no punches in his race towards EDM glory. Keep your eyes and ears open for him, He's climbing in popularity as we speak and I for one look forward to seeing him at tons of events and festivals in the future. The Z-Dar - Camp Bisco 11: Space Jesus

Yo Whatup?! Z here again and I just had to share with you something that literally blew me away when I was at Camp Bisco 11. I found myself separated from Wish[Paus3] and Fitz, so I decided to take my good friend Josh around for some sight seeing in the late nights on Friday. We found ourselves at the door of the Silent Disco neatly tucked away on the outskirts of the festival with an impressive underwater decor theme and a caged dance floor and a cool versus-style DJ setup. They had two DJs every set to go on the wireless headphones off two FM channels. The headphones were some of the best I've ever used by the way, on top of being wireless with no delay. I thought it was a cute idea but I didn't really give it any thought to who might be there until earlier that morning Alpha Data had told me he would be playing again later in the Silent Disco. Being that he's one of my favorite glitch hop DJs made me realize I should be spending a lot more time there, and boy was I right in deciding that.

I Had no Idea what to expect from The EDM producer and DJ, Jasha Tull, I mean really? Space Jesus? I had thought the name was funny in a cheesy way. Maybe some campy DJ alot of the locals knew or some kinda fun joke guy... at least that's what I expected. Upon putting those wireless headphones I was instantly hooked on some the dopest, dirtiest, catchiest, and most versatile music I have heard from one single DJ at Bisco 11 yet. I mean just listen to this:

DURO DURO ft. Capitan Futuro & The Galaxy Girls by SPACE JESUS

DURO DURO quickly became one of my favorite songs ever the second I heard it and I'm pretty sure it was his first time playing it that day from what he said, and It doesnt dissappoint with its catchy vibe and nice glitched out vocal work that just gets your head in the right kinda mood to party. Great thing to be introduced to the Silent Disco to if I don't say so myself.

Book One by SPACE JESUS

Songs like Book One, really showed off his harder side with still keeping a bouncy style that leads off in a sick original styled drop that I quickly learned can only be called Space Jesus style. I couldn't help myself I was literally jumping around at every corner of his music it sets such a great mood, and it looks like he's having a blast doing what he loves on stage. Keep a lookout for him if you don't know him already I expect alot from him. He's also giving away his newest album Quantum Crunk Theory for free on his Bandcamp. He just might really be a saint.

Get moar Space Jesus:
